Hello Doctor,
I hope you've been well.
Forgive me for not reaching back out sooner; it's been a busy few weeks! It doesn't even seem as much time has passed at all, but all the same...
Now, regarding those old stories and fairy tales I mentioned before, I can't say if I know for CERTAIN how they all go, but I'm sure I can attest to a couple. Or at least bits of them.
For example, where I'm from, great mountains or volcanoes are very sacred, and many are believed to be endowed with the powers of Naga, the divine dragon. There is a race known as Manakete who possess the ability to channel power through magic stones and transform themselves into dragons, and they are often found near or around these places. Be it to feel close to Naga or to find some peace of mind, I couldn't say.
I bring this up because currently, I'm residing on an island with a volcano of its own! Though I don't believe any dragons or the sort will be about in this world. It did make me wonder if people here would have once revered places like it in a similar way, though.
What do you think?

A quick correction:
Naga is the name of the divine dragon, and she is one of a kind. I've met her before.
Manakete are the people who can transform into dragons, and there used to be many of them about, long ago. Now there is only one I know of. (So I suppose that makes her one of a kind, too, but...)
And while I don't know the EXACT name of this island, perhaps if I provided some photographs that could be telling? I'm unclear as to what here has been here for long and what's been built up for the sake of the TV show.
