Oh, not at all! I find the honesty... refreshing, actually. A lot of the gods are up on their high horses, and here you are... sharing these nuggets of truth.

Did you always think you would become a god? Something inside of you?

Uh, no. [Quite the opposite, actually. It was always Marian who seemed to think something more of him.] I was a kid in uni. That's all.

Now I'm an interdimensionally traveling underworld god. Guess I really wasted my time, taking those A levels.

You weren't at one of my schools, were you? I suspect I would have recognized you, then. [ He cleared his throat. ] Although it would have been a point of pride, if one of my students ended up a member of the Pantheon.
