Hello Professor,
I apologize for not contacting you sooner as I said I would, but I've still been learning my way about the communicator, and I only just found how to add punctuation...
Thank you again for your advice previously. So far I've found many other kind people here willing to help me learn about this world and how it works, even so far as to guide me through the many different items in the place I now live.
I noticed by your away message that you called yourself a doctor? I recall you introducing yourself instead as a teacher of sorts, so I'm afraid I'm a little confused. Did I misremember?
In any case, I hope the day finds you well. Should you learn something or hear of somewhere interesting, I'll be happy to hear of it.
Until then,
Lucina

Greetings again, Doctor!
Thank you for clarifying for me...I'll be sure to use Doctor instead, since it's proper here.
I think one thing I've found very interesting here is how much music there is. The devices used to play it are actually playing music that was already made, sometimes AGES ago. It's incredible. One need not seek out a performer to enjoy a song of good quality, they only have to own one of those devices!
But the performers here are quite amazing as well. I befriended two, both imports such as us, who have taken to the stages here to sing. It was truly a sight to behold, and I've been lucky enough to be invited to see them when they perform again. I'm greatly looking forward to it, especially after the terrible disaster that's befallen this city.
I can only hope to find more means of good morale, if not for myself, but for the downtrodden here. Circumstances were very personal in ways for many of my friends, and while I can't claim much for myself, I still struggle with it, too.
The music helps.
Thank you for listening, Doctor. Until later,
Lucina

Hajime and Freyja are the two I saw perform. They were both wonderful, and I hope they sing again soon.
As for movies, I know of them thanks to my cousin and others, but I've not of yet sat down to observe one. Those are what play on the TV yes? Besides the weather report.

Doctor,
Forgive me, I may have been misunderstood. Hajime and Freyja are performers, not gods or myths. People not unlike you or I, just very talented.
In any case, I will have to consider your suggestion. There are a few others like myself still unfamiliar with the diversions of this world that may wish to explore with me.
Do you have any recommendations?
[that isn't sailor moon?]

That IS strange...perhaps her world has similar lore, and hers is a name picked with that meaning in mind? I've found maybe a couple familiar names from across worlds...or things that sound similar, myself.
Have you been collecting such coincidences as you find them, then?
As for this Lord of the Rings, I'll make a note to seek it out. Perhaps something similar exists, in the same way some names are common?

I think that's a wonderful idea. A record of all the common threads woven in age-old legends? Where much may still alienate us, that's one thing I'm sure would make the most wayward of us feel closer.
And maybe I, too, will sense some familiar things in that story. I'll be certain to let you know if I do!

Well, I suppose I don't mind... Only, I'm not sure what I can offer, save for a small handful of old legends and fairy tales from when I was small. There wasn't much time left for study back home, I'm afraid.

Duly noted! I'll try to recall some of the better stories from my youth to share. Let me first recount them with my cousin, so as to be certain I'm remembering them right.

He is, indeed! Perhaps you know of him?
He goes by Odin Dark here.

[say that to her face and get a face full of punching!!!!!!!!!!!!!]

Truly? He didn't mention there was more than one...I wonder if he knows.
Is that Odin directly the same as the one your stories tell of?

[as long as he personally kisses every burger that leaves his restaurant then i GUESS it's ok.]

Well, I would hope, given your desire to learn all you can of myths and legends, that you'll find yourself an opportunity to meet him. Perhaps then you'll find out there's even more to learn than what you already know?

Then I hope a meeting is not too far in the future for you.
In the meanwhile, I can hear the dogs stirring, so someone must be home. I'll be sure to speak to you later, Doctor. Please have a good rest of your day.
